I’m Marie, weirdly pronounced like marry, but we’ll leave that there! I live in East Sussex near the coast, as I love to swim in my spare time. I have been writing since I could hold a pen, for me it is the best way to communicate and to hold those thoughts, creating something meaningful.
Aged 18, I ran my school magazine, and have gone on to write for a wide range of clients and publications from med-ed, consumer health, dentistry, human & animal pharma, sustainability, through to NFP’s and travel. This includes full press releases, to a suite of social media posts, multichannel campaigns, surveys, blogs, website copy and newsletters as well as packaging and advertising.
Working for 18 years for a herbal tea company and 6 years in digital agency marketing, covering global pharma, dentistry, consumer and animal health. This has included B2B and B2C, working across print and digital media, as well as earned / social campaigns. In my spare time I have been a trustee for 7 years for an HIV charity and supported an FGM campaign developing their social media. I have a genuine desire to support others in having their best life – be that through their health or social situation, I have found I can do this best by telling their stories.
A friend asked me the other day to describe myself and I started off with a great storyteller, which sums me up in a nutshell. So, if you need someone to get inside your brand, or campaign and create a stand out point of difference, then let me know.
